I met Roberto Ottaviano in 1977. He came to one of my first workshops near Pistoia, Italy where at that time was living.
I was immediately impressed by his musical personality and his determination to succeed.
In 1980 when I formed the Andrea Centazzo Mitteleuropa Orchestra, Roberto became a stable and featured member.
Our collaboration lasted until 1986 when we played the first and only duo concert during a summer festival.
Different choices in music ended our successful collaboration: I decided for composing and video making and he became one of the greatest saxophone players and jazz teacher in Europe.
This CD reunites our experiences and renovate our long standing friendship.
